Georgia Students Find Success Close to Home

Here are two motivating and true stories of AYES interns who found careers working where they interned in their hometown. Both Levon and Michael were written about in the 2009 issue of TEFGA Magazine.
Levon Tarver, Automotive Teacher Hutchings Career Center, Macon Georgia
Levon's 2005 win of a gold medal at the Georgia SkillsUSA State Conference placed him in a position to be looked upon past his appearance at age 15 by his future employers at

Levon was very successful as an AYES intern and had excellent mentors at the dealership during his 2006 internship. Later, Levon got scholarships for post secondary training and BMW STEP program training where he excelled. Before he was 21, Levon was a certified BMW technician and was able to hold his own on the shop floor because of all the support he had from his mentors.
